Sunderland had a 1-0 lead by halftime. Luckily, Manchester United's manager David Moyes had Adnan Januzaj on the pitch and his two brilliant goals helped United overcome the deficit and ultimately win the match.
The squad has had an unpromising start to the 2013-14 season, but the performance of Januzaj could ignite the team and save Moyes from the media backlash. Manchester United are now battling the way out of the mid-table with hopes to regain a higher position.
Not only has Januzaj brought optimism to fans of Manchester United worldwide, but he also will be in discussion for international competition. According to ManUtd.com, he was born in Brussels and previously played for Anderlecht's youth squad before his departure to Manchester United.
He would add more talent to the increasingly-intimidating Belgian national football squad. Although he has resided in Belgium for most of his young life, it's been reported in the past that his father prefers him to play for Albania instead.
Whatever Adnan Januzaj may decide to do in the future, he certainly caught the attention of the football world with two fabulous goals, lifting a depleted team known for being one of the strongest clubs in the world. Who knows what the 18-year-old will be able to accomplish in the future. What we do know, for sure, is that he has superior confidence in his ability to be a top-flight footballer.
